Hydro-Comp wins International Tender for the development of Business planning decision supporting tool for Asset Management

The Network of Associations of Local Authorities of South-East Europe NALAS awarded to Hydro Comp Enterprises the Development and Implementation of Business Planning Model for Water Utilities. The contract includes development of the Model, development and installation of the Model software package, training for the software users and implementation of the Model in the pilot public utilities.

The development of the Business planning decision supporting tool for Asset Management is part of the project Asset Management for water and sanitation sector in SEE. The project is funded by the German Ministry of Economic Development and Cooperation (BMZ) and the Government of Switzerland, and is implemented by GIZ (ORF MMS) and the Network of Associations of Local Authorities of South-East Europe (NALAS) in seven pilot countries – Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia.

The Asset Management Business Planning Tool will be develop specifically for WSS Public Utilities. This decision supporting tool will enable the municipalities / funding organisations to assess the performance and sustainability of the public utility’s future operation, including its ability to repay loans, as a result of implementing an Investment Plan made up of interventions proposed through carrying out effective integrated asset management.

The Asset Management Business Planning Tool will be tested and installed in seven pilot Public Utilities from the project countries. The extensive training in all aspects of the tool will be provided to the system administrators, users and management, as well as the user and training manuals will be developed and translated in the local languages.
