The Meter Reading module is used to manage meter reading activities for Utilities. This module upholds meter reading management by storing, processing and analysing meter reading data for Water or Electricity.

The system has been designed to work with or without hand-held units (HHU), whereby, data can be transferred from the hand-held unit into the system. The units transfer walk route information and the meter reading records into the system so that this data can be processed and analyzed.

The meter reading data can be viewed and analysed in the system before finalizing them. Invalid readings are displayed in red and with a warning symbol together with the reason. Incorrect meter readings can be amended individually or can be uploaded to HHU to be re-read.

Daily Discrepancy reports can be viewed and printed for a selected walk route in-order to evaluate the validity of the meter readings. In addition, a flexible filtering facility allows quick analysis of the readings on the user interface from different perspectives.

The system can be configured to automatically trigger specific activity for each discrepancy and each meter reader’s note. This means that the corrective action to a problem is initiated immediately and passed to the appropriate Department paperless and without delay.
