Over 20 million people are now billed by EDAMS Billing & Customer Information in Egypt for Water Services

EDAMS Billing & Customer Information implementations in EgyptHydro-Comp has been operating in Egypt since 2002. It has successfully implemented Billing and Customer Information systems in the Governorates of Fayoum, Beni-Suef and Al Minia. Now Hydro-Comp Egypt has been awarded the implementation of EDAMS Billing in additional 2 Governorates, Asyut and Qalyubia, bringing the total population being billed by Hydro-Comp-Egypt just over 20 million. Details of all the Governorates using EDAMS is shown in the table below,

GovernoratesArea (km2)Population (2015)Description
Asyut25,9264,245,215It stretches across Nile. The capital of the governorate is the city of Asyut
Beni Suef10,9542,856,812The capital is the city of Beni Suef, located about 120 km south of Cairo on the west bank of the Nile river
Faiyum6,0683,170,150Is one of the governorates of Egypt in the middle of the country. Its capital is the city of Faiyum, located about 130 km south west of Cairo.

Recent audits showed that the 3 Governorates improved dramatically their customer service and revenues both as an immediate result of implementation of the EDAMS systems and as further improvement thereafter. Note that Revenues increased on average by 74% immediately after implementation of the systems and over eight years increased over 5 times. Many governorates in Egypt face similar problems as the Governorates in Middle Egypt and Hydro-Comp increasing plays an important role in the rehabilitation of the water service provision in Egypt.

Congratulations to the staff in Hydro-Comp Egypt on their achievement.
