Overview

EDAMS Meter Management is sub-section of the EDAMS Billing and Customer Information system. It is used when the client has a Billing system without this functionality
It is a fully functional consolidated connection, meter and meter reading management information system that has been specifically designed to cater for the unique requirements of Utility Services Providers.
It covers all facets of meter management, including on-line enquiries and reporting, meter readings, walk route management, meter and connection management.
It links to the Utility’s current Billing system accessing all information (with the exception of financial transactions) prior to commencement of the Meter reading cycle and in turns forwards final meter readings to the Billing system prior to commencement of the Billing cycle.

The optional Commercial Data Evaluation product evaluates commercial data significantly improving overall data integrity and quality resulting in a significant reduction of commercial losses.
The proper use of the system will directly impact on the performance of the Utility. It will:

• Lead to a reduction in revenues that are lost due to inaccurate meter readings.

• Facilitate accurate reporting that will enhance management control and overall productivity.

• Initiate proper meter management programs and data validation activities that will result in the reduction of non-physical losses.

The meter management system properly integrates with the billing, technical and engineering systems of the Utility ensuring the integrity of the commercial database and also providing information that is vital to the optimised operation of the supply network
